SHANE EAMES

Instruction: Baseball & Fastpitch, Hitting & Catching

For the last 30 years I have dedicated myself to coaching, instructing and scouting the game of baseball and softball. I have coached at the youth, high school and collegiate level.

Professionally, I worked nine years as a scout for the Montreal Expos, Florida Marlins, and Chicago White Sox. In 2003, I was fortunate enough to earn a World Series ring with the Marlins. In addition to scouting, I have served as an assistant coach at Jefferson Community College, Harris Stowe State University, the University of Missouri St. Louis and St. Louis Community College at Meramec.

Under my direction, I’ve coached and/or instructed over 400 players who have furthered their career at the Collegiate level. Ninety of them played at the NCAA Division 1 Level at schools such as University of Miami, TCU, Mizzou, Wichita State, Baylor, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Missouri State, Southeast Missouri State, Creighton, Indiana State, Notre Dame, SLU, Illinois, Illinois State, Richmond, Arkansas State, SIU Carbondale, Austin Peay, Cornell, Columbia and Western Kentucky.

Twenty-five players I have instructed and/or coached have gone on to play professionally with Major League Organizations such as the St. Louis Cardinals, San Diego Padres, Kansas City Royals, Oakland A's, Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Baltimore Orioles, Florida Marlins, Montreal Expos, Washington Nationals, Colorado Rockies, New York Mets, Arizona Diamond Backs and the Atlanta Braves. Seven of them have played at the Big League Level.

Since the age of 20, I have worked full-time as a Professional Instructor specializing in Hitting and Catching Fundamentals. I pride myself in evolving each year to become a better coach, instructor and mentor to my students and players.

Outside of baseball and softball, I am married to the love of my life Jennifer, and have 2 wonderful children, Kelli and Cooper.
