AMANDA (ROBERTS) SAITO

Instruction: Softball

Born and raised in St. Louis, Amanda attended Lindbergh High School and Washington University in St. Louis where she still holds offensive records at both. After starting all four years at Wash U, and leading the team to a 47-3 record her junior year, she had coaching stints at Fontbonne University, Maryville University, Ursuline Academy, and Lindenwood University-Belleville, where she helped the team to two USCAA National Championships and NAIA Conference Championships.

As a hitting and fielding coach for the last ten years, she has helped over 30 girls to reach their dream of playing college softball, not including the girls she has helped through coaching summer softball for Missouri Heat, St. Louis Fusion Gold, and St. Louis Academy. As a coach, she focuses on not just the form and approach for hitting and fielding, but also the reasons why each movement is important. But her biggest focus over the long run is the mental approach to the game. Lessons not only help form, but help to improve relaxation and confidence in the students’ game.

Amanda is married and has two girls, Edith and Agnes.
